Effective methods for cleaning soot
The best way to quickly restore cookware is to use alkaline or acid-based formulations that break down the structure of the solder from the inside.

Baking soda and vinegar. This classic combination creates a chemical reaction with the release of carbon dioxide, which literally “lifts” the layer of cinders from the bottom. Just pour a little water into the pan, add a cup of vinegar and bring to a boil, then pour in two tablespoons of baking soda.

Household soap. If the cinders are fresh, ordinary 72% soap will help. It should be grated, poured into a pan, pour water and boil for 15 minutes. This method is considered to be the most gentle for ceramic coating.

Citric acid. Ideal for cleaning stainless steel. The acid solution effectively erodes lime scale and burnt protein food residues, returning the metal to its original shine.

Activated carbon. An unobvious but effective method for aluminum cookware. Crushed tablets are applied to the moistened bottom for 20 minutes, after which the dirt comes off easily with a regular sponge.
Working with different materials
When selecting a method, it is important to consider the type of metal that your kitchen utensils.

Cast iron. The most unpretentious material, which can be cleaned with salt or calcined, but after the procedure it must be oiled to restore the protective layer.

Teflon. Categorically does not tolerate baking soda and hard brushes. Only soaking in a mild soap solution or using specialized gels is acceptable here.

Aluminum. Does not tolerate harsh chemicals and acids in high concentrations as they can cause the metal to darken.
